Nanoose Bay Cafe in Nanoose Bay, British Columbia is hiring a cleaner. Full-time, on-site position.
Responsibilities:
• Clean and sanitize rooms, bathrooms and public areas to ensure a high standard of cleanliness
• Change linens, replace towels and replenish amenities such as soap, shampoo and toilet paper
• Sweep, mop and vacuum floors; dust furniture and fixtures
• Report any maintenance issues, damages or safety hazards to the supervisor
• Restock cleaning supplies and ensure equipment is properly maintained
• Ensure all rooms and public areas are properly stocked with necessary supplies
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with guests and team members
• Follow all company procedures for cleaning, sanitation and safety standards
• Assist with laundry and linen services as needed
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the housekeeping supervisor or manager
What you need
- Prior housekeeping experience is a must
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Professional appearance and demeanour
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
